Mac and Virtual Machines

I am using parallels, works smooth.

And I use Bootcamp and same here, works very well

The one thing I recommend is install BA, under Admin mode and same with Python hence its modules need admin permit to be installed.

I am using Parallels and the only issue that I have right now is with Python.

The ttpython36_setup_x64 does not have scikit-learn included and so I had to install it additionally. Unfortunately I get the following import error when importing KMeans from sklearn.cluster:

ImportError : cannot import name 'murmurhash3_32'

So far I have not managed to install murmurhash. when trying to install murmurhash I get the following error

error: Microsoft Visual C++ 14.0 is required. Get it with "Microsoft Visual C++ Build Tools": https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/

After Installing Micro Visuell C++ I still get the error message.

I've been using Parallels 13 and upgraded to Parallels 14 under Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines and both have worked very well.

I take a bit of a different approach as I like 24/7 uptime to run a number of algos. I am based in Europe and my primary machine is an iMac but I run Tradestation (A windows based software) and now run build alpha on a hosted platform by "speedytradingservers" at their datacentre in NJ. The connection is seamless, I really see no difference between operating my TWS Interactive Broker platform locally and TS on the hosted server using Microsoft remote desktop. In 2 years I have experienced no issue or downtime.  Until recently I had a high spec PC to host build alpha but I find the hosted server has sufficient processing capability to deal with anything I have needed to date. I pay $79 pcm for the service which for me has proven excellent value.
